The Importance of Diabetes Prevention

The New River Community Health Center and Florida Department of Health in Union County, in conjunction with the Union County Public library present "The Importance of Diabetes Prevention".  This event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.  Diabetes is expected to grow from 14.5% of the population in 2010 to 32.7% of the population in 2050.  Together, we can turn the tide on the diabetes epidemic!  This event will provide you with diabetes self-management education, information on the tests that you may need, self-care behaviors and problem solving skills, active collaboration with a health care team, and tools to improve your quality of life.  For more information on the program, please call 386-496-3211..
