Communicable disease surveillance is an important public health role in our community. The Florida Department of Health in Union County works with area health care providers in to control and prevent infectious diseases. These services and programs follow disease trends, investigate any possible disease instances or outbreaks, provide testing and treatment, and offer preventive services and education.
